Sculpture: perforated metal rising upward
Peter Zecher (1945-1996) artist signed/dated 1989
Bent and welded perforated steel formed into a
lyrical  origami-like open structure.
34”ht 10” diam
Details:
Bent and welded perforated steel formed into a lyrical  origami-like open structure.  Emanating from a solid  variation of their contour, delicate forms cradle one another and recycle formation as they rise upward.  Mirrored forms of a perforated cross section of a cube form v-shaped clusters reverse themselves, and then repeat,
each pair supporting the next at discrete points of contact  yielding various shades of gray perforated steel at a multitude of orderly angles through which light passes and reflects and air freely moves, appearing to lift steel facets at every turn.
